2024 Bristol Bookfest BookFest Opening Reception on Friday, April 5 from 6:30 to 7:30 PM

Ink Fish Books is proud to be a partner bookstore for this upcoming event with Bristol BookFest.

The 2024 Bristol BookFest is a free keynote talk and reception on Friday, April 5, at Colt School Auditorium (570 Hope St), and a paid day program of speakers and informal discussions on Saturday, April 6, from 9 AM to 5 PM inside the ballroom of Linden Place (500 Hope St).

Saturday’s speaker’s include:

  • Declan Kielydr, director of exhibitions at the New York Public Library

  • Richard H. Brodhead, professor emeritus of English at Yale University

  • Mary K. Bercaw Edwards, associate professor of English and coordinator of the Maritime Studies Program at the University of Connecticut’s Avery Point Campus and a long-time adviser at Mystic Seaport

  • Cyrus R. K. Patell, professor of English at New York University and Global Network professor at New York University Abu Dhabi and a winner of NYU’s Distinguished Teaching Award.

  • Robert Rocha, associate curator of Science and Research at the New Bedford Whaling Museum


The 2024 Bristol BookFest is a public humanities program, and is supported by the Friends of Rogers Free Library, Arts in Common, Linden Place, Rogers Free Library, Rogers Williams University, Bristol Art Museum, CC:S, Bank Newport, St. Michael's Episcopal Church, and various private donors.
