2024 Bristol Bookfest featuring Moby Dick by Herman Melville on Saturday, April 6 from 9 to 5 pm
Ink Fish Books is proud to be a partner bookstore for this upcoming event with Bristol BookFest.
The 2024 Bristol BookFest is a free keynote talk and reception on Friday, April 5, at Colt School Auditorium (570 Hope St), and a paid day program of speakers and informal discussions on Saturday, April 6, from 9 AM to 5 PM inside the ballroom of Linden Place (500 Hope St).
Saturday’s speaker’s include:
Declan Kielydr, director of exhibitions at the New York Public Library
Richard H. Brodhead, professor emeritus of English at Yale University
Mary K. Bercaw Edwards, associate professor of English and coordinator of the Maritime Studies Program at the University of Connecticut’s Avery Point Campus and a long-time adviser at Mystic Seaport
Cyrus R. K. Patell, professor of English at New York University and Global Network professor at New York University Abu Dhabi and a winner of NYU’s Distinguished Teaching Award.
Robert Rocha, associate curator of Science and Research at the New Bedford Whaling Museum
The 2024 Bristol BookFest is a public humanities program, and is supported by the Friends of Rogers Free Library, Arts in Common, Linden Place, Rogers Free Library, Rogers Williams University, Bristol Art Museum, CC:S, Bank Newport, St. Michael's Episcopal Church, and various private donors.
