About the books

Knight Owl and Early BirdEarly Bird wants to be brave and protect the castle, just like Knight Owl. But she falls asleep on the job and then keeps her hero up during the day with her enthusiastic chattiness, well-meaning questions, and cheerful owl impersonations. But there are strange happenings in the forest, and soon Knight Owl and Early Bird find themselves in the throes of danger. Will these two learn to work together to keep themselves and the kingdom safe?  Caldecott Honor winner and New York Times bestselling creator Christopher Denise delivers another endearing medieval tale that shines with warmth and goodwill, and shows just how important teamwork is to saving the day. Recommended for young readers ages 4-7.

The Unmagical Little Witch—The charming picture book about a little witch who can't do magic—teaching young children the power in creating your own magic. Luna looks like a typical little witch. But one thing is missing . . . she reads spell books, brews potions, and collects crystals, but can’t do magic. Just as she’s starting to feel hopeless, she meets some creatures who ask for help from the little witch. Without a powerful spell or a magic wand, Luna must figure out another idea quick. She learns that sometimes hard work, creativity, and a bit of clever thinking is all the magic you need. Recommended for young readers ages 3-8.
