Join us virtually to hear Ann Hood, Caroline Leavitt, and Elinor Lipman discuss the healing power of knitting. These three award-winning authors are long-time knitters who have personally experienced the power of knitting as an effective wellness tool. Co-sponsored by Project Knitwell and Ink Fish Books. Books available for purchase through Ink Fish Books (10% of the sales proceeds are being donated to Project Knitwell) through July 13, 2021.
Project Knitwell is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization operating in the Washington, DC area, offering knitting as a wellness tool to help people cope with stressful situations at more than a dozen hospital and community settings. Founded in 2010, Project Knitwell is celebrating its 10th Anniversary. With minimal paid staff, over the last 10 years, Project Knitwell has proudly served more than 5,000 participants with more than 30 volunteers.
Ink Fish Books is a locally woman-owned and operated independent bookstore in Warren, RI. It provides unique customer experiences and carries a variety of new and gently used books in all categories including a children’s section. It also carries locally-made food and kitchen products with food culture and cookbooks to create “food and book” pairings. Ink Fish Books hosts authors, artists, and educators.
